Case study: Randori, from 22,000 to 600,000+ annual blog readers
22K → 600K+annual blog traffic during my time leading content
Situation
Randori sold an attacker's-eye view of your network to security teams: attack surface management and continuous automated red teaming. Its buyers were practitioners who discount vendor marketing on sight. The content had to read like it came from people who break into networks for a living.
What I did
- Led content strategy and execution as Content Marketing Manager, 2020–2022, through the company's acquisition by IBM.
- Wrote most of the company blog.
- Ghostwrote co-founder and CTO David Wolpoff's personal blog, hexadecimoose.
- Adapted that blog into the ebook Where Attackers Infiltrate Your Network and How to Beat Them, published with my name alongside his.
- Ran multimedia production end to end.
Results
- Annual blog traffic grew from about 22,000 to over 600,000.
- A published, credited ebook built from the CTO's own voice.
- The program ran through Randori's acquisition by IBM.
